Ron Grzybowski brings a wealth of football knowledge to the Black Diamond Sports Network. Among the elite athletes of Our Lady of Lourdes (Coal Township, PA) High School's greatest all around athletes, he was a scholarship athlete at North Carolina University, he earned three varsity monograms at UNC including most valuable lineman honors. Following his Tar Heel career he enjoyed a brief stint with the Dallas Cowboys. His high school coaching career included assistant positions at West Mendham (NJ) and Lewisburg (PA). He served as head coach at Our Lady of Lourdes, Cardinal Brennan (Ashland, PA) and Bloomsburg, PA. His college coaching included assistant positions at Bloomsburg University (PA) and Bucknell University (Lewisburg, PA). Ron and his wife Mary Ann reside in Coal Township.

Phil Manney is a Coal Region football legend. He was the last Shamokin player to suit up and play in the Big 33 Game. Phil is a graduate of Brown University and the National College of Chiropractic and has been in practice for the last 21 years. This proud member of the Bernie Romanoski Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame has been broadcasting Coal Region football for the preceding 15 seasons. Prior to 2004 when he and Greg Maresca co-founded the Black Diamond Sports Network (BDSN), Phil called play-by-play on WISL, WSPI and BILL 95. Phil is the owner / sole proprietor of BDSN and for the 5th consecutive season will primarily call the play-by-play for the 6 time Class “A” State Champion Southern Columbia Tigers. Phil will also co-host "In The Huddle with Phil & Tom" on Saturday mornings with long time friend and mentor Tom Ryan.

Mark will team up with longtime friend, Jeff Nevius working as the color analyst broadcasting Mount Carmel football. Both sportscasters plan on making the trek to Florida State this season to mark their annual college football pilgrimage in late October. This yearly football excursion has helped transform both men into ardent students of the gridiron science. It is working for the media giant Verizon where Mark, A Penn State graduate, has honed his delivery and plans on capitalizing on those vociferous skills by adding the hue to each Danville broadcast on the Black Diamond Sports Network.

When one esposes football, few are a bigger disciple than Jeff. After his playing days at Danville Area High School wrapped up, Jeff became a devoted fan of the collegiate game. In fac, Jeff and his broadcast partner, Mark Micalizzi, make an annual pilgrimage to a different college venue each fall. Moreover, Jeff has meticulously followed the numerous high school programs in the region for the last quarter century and volunteered his talents coaching midget football with the Tee-Railers in his hometown. Howeverm it will be this seas on that he will realize a longstanding ambition as he dons the headset to take on the play-by-play of the Southern Area Tigers on the Black Diamond Sports Network.

A graduate from Danville high school in 2000, Chris was a former four sport standout for the Ironmen. He played soccer and kicked for the football team in the fall, swam in the winter and played baseball in the spring. As a member of the Ironmen football team in 1998 and 1999, he was apart of two district four championship teams, the last Danville team to win the district title or CSC-I title. He currently works at CCN/CATV in Danville as a sports broadcaster for their daily news show. He also films and edits productions produced by CCN and also helps out with soccer and basketball broadcasts throughout the sports season. His love for sports goes back to as far as he could pick up a baseball and kick a soccer ball. Chris also freelances for the Danville News and Daily Item, covering soccer, baseball and some basketball. Here the hometown kid call play-by-play for all Danville football broadcasts this fall with his partner Mark Micalizzi on the Black Diamond Sports Network.

Tom Ryan, being recognized as the voice of coal region sports, is currently in his fifth decade of covering high school athletics. The on air veteran has aired league, district and state championship contests. His career includes affiliations with WETV, WKMC - TV, WISL, WPPA, WSPI radio and the Black Diamond Sports Network. He will co-host, with Dr. Phil Manney, BDSN newest weekly venture "In The Huddle with Phil & Tom". The program will debut on Saturday August 30th (8:00 am to 9:00 am) and will be dedicated to high school football. Tom and his wife Paula Margaret reside in Ashland, PA.
